concerns.
Dr Munroe Clinic has a page on each of the most common skin and aesthetic concerns: what causes it, what can and cannot be done, and the options available, including those not offered here. Start from what you have noticed.

Under-eye hollows
‘tired-looking eyes’
Tired-looking eyes usually have one of three causes: a hollow, a fat pad that has moved forward, or pigment. Each needs a different approach, and only the first is usually treated with filler.

Lines and wrinkles
‘lines when I frown or smile’
Lines that appear with expression and fade at rest come from muscle. These tend to respond well to anti-wrinkle injections, while lines that remain at rest may also benefit from treatments that improve skin quality. Often, both factors are in play.

Skin laxity
‘My face has lost firmness and feels saggy’
Firmness goes as deeper support thins: collagen, fat and bone. Skin regeneration can improve the surface, but sagging caused by loss of deeper support needs a different approach, and sometimes the honest answer is surgical.

Skin quality
‘dull, crepey, uneven’
Texture, crepiness and dullness are surface concerns with deeper causes, such as sun exposure, smoking, hormonal change and time. They respond to treatments that work within the skin rather than adding volume.

Jawline definition
‘my jawline has softened’
A softer jawline can have several causes, including volume loss along the jaw, a chin that sits back, or fullness beneath it, and each is treated differently.

Hair thinning
‘more hair in the plughole’
Shedding and thinning are different, and the cause guides the treatment. Blood tests are recommended first, as deficiencies are a common and correctable cause.
